Abstract/Description of Event/Activity: This staterwide multicultural march and rally will begin at four points in Wilmington, Delaware and converge at Rodney Square where there will be speakers, entertainment, booths from the state's treatment service providers and other events. This event is a joint enterprise of a wide variety of grass roots organizations including The Addictions Coalition of Delaware, Inc., Herion Hurts, Inc., Churches Take a Corner, The Interdenominational Ministers Action Council, The Latin American Community Center, Hogar Crea, The Delaware Army National Guard and other organizations, to show their united support for addiction treatment and their knowledge that Treatment Works!

Abstract/Description of Event/Activity: The Addictions Coalition of Delaware, Inc., a non-profit organization whose primary mission is public awareness, education and advocacy regarding the disease of addiction, will be hosting a wide series of events during September's celebration of National Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Month.

These events include a kick-off brunch in the state capital, the First Annual Statewide Multicultural Antidrug Rally and March in Wilmington, softball tournament & family picnic, trade exhibits, workshops open houses and other events. We will provide you with descriptions of each event as soon as possible.

Abstract/Description of Event/Activity: Softball Teams form among the state's treatment service providers and consumer groups will play in a double elimination tournament with trophies for the top three teams. Entry fee $100.00 per team. Family picnic for treatment service providers, consumers and their families with food, games and fun. Cost $5.00 per person, 10 years or under $2.00.
