CCS: Chemistry: About Us

Computational chemistry is a diverse field, with applications ranging from biochemistry and nanotechnology to waste remediation and energy efficiency. Simulation of chemical phenomena has become an indispensible part of modern chemical research with particular help from the rapid advance of high performance computing. The CCS Chemistry research community, currently small and loosely knit, uses the leading-edge resources of the Center to advance the state of the art in high-performance computational chemistry through their individual research programs, including method and algorithm development and chemical applications. Some activities in computational chemistry may also be of interest to the Biology and Materials communities.
