Committee members, in conjunction with the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS), strive to achieve their mission by providing technical assistance to businesses and the general public. The membership works with other public and private organizations interested in employment programs. Committee members serve as volunteers and are leaders in industry, business, labor, education, civic organizations, medical and other professions. Throughout its existence, the volunteers of the committee have sought to encourage programs at the local, regional and state levels to better serve individuals with disabilities. Each member strives to dispel common myths about individuals with disabilities, promote access to public and private facilities, offer technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and provide counseling to the business community and to individuals.
