ORNL is currently performing in-depth evaluations of a number
of high performance computer systems, including the Cray X1, XT3
and XD1, the SGI Altix, and the IBM HPS network (used as the
interconnect for a cluster of IBM p690s). Examples and
specifications of these
architectures are located in the Center for Computational Sciences at
ORNL.

If you have an interest in collaborating with us in the
evaluation of the Cray or SGI systems or in the
application-specific evaluations on any platform, please contact:
The acquisition of the Cray, IBM, and SGI systems and the
evaluation research is funded by the Mathematical, Information,
and Computational Sciences Division, within the Office of
Advanced Scientific Computing Research of the Office of Science,
Department of Energy. The application-specific evaluations are
also supported by the sponsors of the individual applications
research areas.
