Guest agreements

• Allow faculty members, investigators or students from educational, research or commercial institutions to perform research at Argonne with Argonne researchers.
• Are available for federally and non-federally funded research.

Duration

• Guest appointments may last as long as one year and may be renewed.
• Most student guest appointments are for 10 weeks, generally during the summer.

Appropriateness: Guest appointments may not be possible for research projects where other arrangements are more appropriate.

How to start

Initial consideration of a non-student guest appointment generally arises out of discussion between a non-Argonne researcher and the appropriate Argonne division. Formal proposals may arise out of such discussion.

Students and faculty should apply directly through Argonne's Division of Educational Programs.
