Route 7 trolley buses will no longer park at 62nd Avenue S & S Ryan Street.
All Route 7 trolley bus trips that park at 62nd Avenue and South Ryan Street will be moved to Rainier and Henderson. Route 7 buses on selected trips will still serve Prentice Street from downtown Seattle, but will then continue to Rainier Avenue and Henderson Street (similar to the current evening service after 8 p.m.). NOTE: This change will be implemented in September 2004.

Split Route 7 on weekdays and Saturdays; create new Route 49.
Route 7 will be split in downtown Seattle into two shorter trolley bus routes during hours of greatest congestion (until at least 7 p.m.) The northern portion between downtown Seattle and the University District will be renumbered Route 49. The southern portion between downtown Seattle and Rainier Beach will still be called Route 7. After about 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and all day on Sunday, Route 7 trips will continue as Route 49 trips to the University District, and Route 49 trips will continue as Route 7 trips to Rainier Beach. NOTE: This change will be implemented in June 2005 when trolley overhead changes in downtown Seattle are completed.

Similar to the present Route 7's start and end of service.
Frequency of service: Route 7 (Downtown Seattle - Rainier Beach)
Revised Route 7 (Downtown Seattle - Rainier Beach) Revised Route 7 will run more often in the evening Monday through Saturday. Evening service on revised Route 7 and new Route 49 will be increased to every 15 minutes instead of every 30 minutes until about 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Weekdays: Every 10 minutes between 6:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.; every 15 minutes between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.; every 30 minutes before 6:00 a.m. and between 9:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.; early morning trips leaving downtown Seattle at 1:15 a.m., 2:15 a.m., and 3:30 a.m.
Saturday: Every 12 minutes between about 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.; every 15 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.; every 30 minutes before 7:00 a.m. and between 9:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.; early morning trips leaving downtown Seattle at 1:15 a.m., 2:15 a.m., and 3:30 a.m.
Sunday: Every 15 minutes between about 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.; every 30 minutes before 9:30 a.m. and between 6:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.; early morning trips leaving downtown Seattle at 1:15 a.m., 2:15 a.m., and 3:30 a.m.

Route 7-Express stops will change.
Route 7-Express will serve a revised set of express stops along Rainier Avenue South. Route 7-Express will also stop at Andover and Walden streets along Rainier Avenue, and at Corwin Place South and Fifth Avenue South along South Dearborn Street. NOTE: These changes will be implemented in September 2004.

Shorten trolley bus Route 9 to start and end at Rainier Avenue South and South Graham Street.
Route 9 trolley buses will start and end at Rainier Avenue South and South Graham Street to free up parking space for Route 7 buses on South Henderson Street. Route 7 will continue to provide frequent service between South Graham Street and Rainier Beach. NOTE: This change will be implemented in September 2004.
In June 2005, Route 9 will be extended to Henderson Street once again.

Change Route 9 to a limited-stop express route.
Route 9 will be revised to operate two-way limited-stop service as a diesel express bus route. The Route 9-Express will operate between Rainier Beach (Rainier and Henderson) and Capitol Hill (10th and Aloha). NOTE: This change will be implemented in June 2005.
Hours of operation
Approximately 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays.
Frequency of service: New Route 9-Express
Weekdays: Every 30 minutes northbound to Capitol Hill between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and between 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; every 30 minutes southbound to Rainier Beach at 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. and between 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.; every 60 minutes northbound to Capitol Hill between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.; every 60 minutes southbound to Rainier Beach between 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Give Route 39-Express a separate route number, Route 34, and revise its schedule.
Route 39-Express trips will have a new route number, Route 34. The express trip leaving downtown at 6:10 p.m. will be discontinued. Morning express trips will arrive at Fourth Avenue/University Street at 6:49, 7:17, 7:49, and 8:22 a.m. Afternoon express trips will leave Second Avenue/Pike Street at 4:10, 4:40, 5:07, and 5:40 p.m. NOTE: This change will be implemented in September 2004.

Add Route 39-Local direct trips on evenings and Sundays, and operate on the South Busway instead of Fourth Avenue South.
All Route 39-Local trips will operate directly to and from downtown Seattle, and the evening/Sunday shuttle will be discontinued. New evening trips will leave Second Avenue/Pike Street in downtown Seattle on weekdays (Monday through Friday) at 8:05 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. On Sundays, all trips will operate directly between Rainier Beach, Seward Park, and downtown Seattle between approximately 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The last Sunday trip will leave Second Avenue/Pike Street in downtown Seattle at 6:15 p.m. NOTE: This change will be implemented in September 2004.

Discontinue Route 39-Local service between Rainier Beach and Southcenter, and replace it with new Route 126 during peak hours.
Route 39-Local will no longer operate between Rainier Beach and Southcenter. New Route 126 will replace portions of Route 39-Local and Route 124 during peak commuter hours on weekdays (approximately 6:00-9:00 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m.), and operate every 30 minutes in both directions. Route 126 will serve Tukwila employers along East Marginal Way South and at Gateway Corporate Center, and will connect with Sound Transit's Sounder commuter rail trains at Tukwila Station. Route 124 will be discontinued. NOTE: This change will be implemented in September 2004.
