Temporary Services Employment
Temporary Services Program (TSP) employees are a group of skilled and
experienced office support personnel who work on an on-call basis. The
group consists of professionals, retirees, homemakers, college students
and others who wish to work part-time. The program offers flexible work
schedules, convenient locations, a variety of responsibilities, competitive
salaries, challenging work and potential for regular employment.
There are no guaranteed number of hours a TSP employee will work. Assignments
are dependent upon laboratory needs and the employee's ability to fill
the assignments. Assignments may be part-time or full-time. TSP employees
must work less than 1,000 hours a year.
Candidates should have clerical/secretarial experience and knowledge of
current computer software. Typical activities will include preparing memos
and letters, entering data into spreadsheets and data bases, and making
travel arrangements and answering phones. Other activities will include
copying, filing, sending out announcements and special mailings, and running
errands on site.
Experience and skill level will determine the starting salary level of
the TSP employee.
