Argonne's main campus is located about 30 miles west of Chicago in the city's bustling western suburbs. Inside the laboratory's 1,500 acres, wildlife co-exists with some of the world's most advanced scientific research machines. Nearby Chicago is known for its varied museums, music, sports teams, dining and cultures. The laboratory is close to the city's two international airports, O'Hare and Midway.
