Division Director's Town Hall Presentation on Safety

If you missed the mandatory meeting on Monday, June 30, 2008, you can review the presentation here. You may direct comments or questions to ES Division Director, Don DePaolo (x 7568) or ES Safety Coordinator, Vivi Fissekidou, (x5610).

ESD Safety Checklists:

  • Download the Division Director's Safety Walkthrough checklist HERE (pdf). The checklist must be completed BEFORE the Division Director's walkaround which occurs annually or as scheduled.

  • Download ESD's inspection checklist HERE (pdf), for our semi-annual Department Head walkthroughs.

  • PREPARE FOR THE SAFETY WALKAROUND (WALKTHROUGH)

    1. Print out the appropriate checklist.
    2. Perform an inspection of your work area and FILL OUT THE APPROPRIATE CHECKLIST COMPLETELY, checking every item. Use the "Action Needed" column to explain items needing improvement. Please attach sheets if you need more room to write. Complete one checklist for each individual office/desk area and lab room.
    3. Please post the completed checklist in your work area - it will be
      collected during the walkthrough.
    4. Labspace Lead PIs are required to participate in the walkthrough of their area. Please ensure that the Chemical database is updated.
    5. Contact Vivi X5610, vafissekidou@lbl.gov for any questions/concerns.

You are encouraged to ask a colleague from another lab/office to
complete the checklist for your work area, as fresh eyes always see new
    things.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
