A
message from Rich Gonzales, Executive Director of DPA:
“The rulemaking hearing for the personal leave proposal
will not be set in calendar year 2008. As all the
necessary information to render a decision regarding
this policy has not been gathered and analyzed, it is
necessary to postpone any decision until such time that
data collection and analysis is completed. I
understand, and am sensitive to everyone’s anxiety, pro
and con, concerning personal leave and its future in the
State. It is this sensitivity that compels me to
proceed in a manner that will extract the best possible
analysis to make what is a very important decision for
employees, departments, and the State of Colorado. As
necessary, additional information will be disseminated
and your input will continue to be solicited, recorded,
and reviewed.”
