Abstract:

The mission of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists is to maintain an organizational framework committed to the physical, mental, and spiritual health of women by promoting the practice of obstetrics and gynecology according to acceptable standards in the community; adherence to the Code of Ethics of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); representation on appropriate AOA committees, adopting, implementing and maintaining standards for postgraduate obstetrical and gynecological education; providing and promoting obstetrical and gynecological continuing medical education according to acceptable standards; and promoting and providing public awareness of women's health issues.
