Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS): Information Technology Initiative

This report examines the effects of using information technology (IT) in delivering primary care services to people living with HIV. It describes how IT assists in health care delivery by using electronic medical records, individual patient databases, and interactive health communication via the Web. The report includes tables that describe HRSA Grantees’ IT interventions in health care delivery and an evaluation of these interventions. It also includes references.
