WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry (BIS) today unveiled additional training modules to complete its series on the basics of export control available at the BIS Online Training Room training room. More than twenty thousand visitors have viewed one or more of the initial group of modules since the training room was unveiled in March.
“The BIS Online Training Room is a convenient, easy-to-use, and valuable tool for exporters, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises,” said Under Secretary of Commerce Mario Mancuso. “The new modules help exporters understand and comply with our Regulations, allowing them to take advantage of exciting global trading opportunities,” he added.
As part of its ongoing effort to improve outreach, BIS will continue to create and supplement the materials regularly. The Essentials of Export Controls, the seminar that BIS currently offers around the country, is now available in full online. The Training Room also houses a number pre-recorded webinars covering a variety of topics. The training modules are presented in a video streaming format.
