THIS ALCOAST UPDATES REF A CONCERNING THE TRANSITION TO THE NEW SATO ONLINE BOOKING PROGRAM CALLED GETTHERE. GETTHERE REPLACES OUR CURRENT ONLINE BOOKING PROGRAM QUALITY AGENT (QA). GETTHERE IS ONLY TO BE USED FOR OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT TRAVEL AND ONLY WHEN THE RESERVATION IS BEING CHARGED TO AN INDIVIDUALLY BILLED GOVERNMENT TRAVEL CHARGE CARD. TRAVELERS WITHOUT AN INDIVIDUALLY BILLED GOVERNMENT TRAVEL CHARGE CARD MUST CONTINUE TO CALL SATO/CENTURY TRAVEL FOR TRANSPORTATION RESERVATIONS, THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN RESERVATIONS ARE MADE THROUGH GETTHERE A TONO MUST BE PROVIDED BEFORE THE RESERVATION TICKET WILL BE PURCHASED. 2. UNDER THE COAST GUARD TRAVEL MANAGEMENT CENTER TASK ORDER WITH SATO TWO OPTIONS ARE PROVIDED FOR MAKING TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS AND DIFFERENT SERVICE FEES ARE APPLIED. FOR NON-SELF SERVICE TRANSACTIONS WHERE A SATO OR CENTURY TRAVEL CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT TOTALLY OR PARTIALLY WORKS A RESERVATION THE CURRENT SERVICE FEE IS 29 DOLLARS AND 65 CENTS (29.65). WHEN THE SELF SERVICE OPTION IS USED AND THERE IS NO INTERVENTION OF ANY FORM BY A CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT A LOWER SERVICE FEE APPLIES. FOR RESERVATIONS USING GETTHERE, THE FEE IS CURRENTLY 12 DOLLARS AND 50 CENTS (12.50). HOWEVER, IF AT ANYTIME A CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT HAS TO INTERVENE WITH A RESERVATION MADE IN GETTHERE, THE SERVICE FEE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE INCREASED TO THE NON-SELF SERVICE FEE. FOR EXAMPLE, THERE ARE NUMEROUS AIRLINES THAT ARE CLASSIFIED AS EXCEPTION CARRIERS THAT REQUIRE AGENT INTERVENTION TO COMPLETE THE RESERVATION. WHEN RESERVATIONS ARE MADE WITH ONE OF THESE CARRIERS THE NON-SELF SERVICE FEE IS AUTOMATICALLY INCURRED EVEN IF THE RESERVATION IS MADE THROUGH GETTHERE. BELOW IS THE TRANSITION TIME LINE FROM QA TO GETTHERE: A. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY - NO NEW RESERVATIONS SHALL BE MADE IN QA. B. 22 APRIL 08 - QA USER PROFILES WERE MIGRATED TO GETTHERE. THE ONLY PROFILES THAT WERE MIGRATED ARE THOSE WHERE THE ACCOUNT HAD ACTUAL TRAVEL RESERVATION ACTIVITY WITHIN THE PAST 12 MONTHS AND THE PRIMARY E-MAIL ADDRESS DOMAIN IS USCG.MIL, CG-EXCHANGE.COM, DWICGS.COM, HQ.SOUTHCOM.MIL, HQCNSG.NAVY.MIL, STATE.GOV OR USCGA.EDU. CREDIT CARD NUMBERS AND CREDIT CARD EXPIRATION DATES WERE NOT MIGRATED. INDIVIDUALS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ADD THE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO THEIR GETTHERE PROFILE. ANY INFORMATION ADDED OR UPDATED TO A QA PROFILE ON OR AFTER 22 APRIL 08 WAS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE MIGRATION. TRAVEL PLANNER ACCOUNTS WERE NOT MIGRATED. C. 22 APRIL 08 - QA USAGE CAPABILITIES PERMANENTLY REDUCED TO VIEW AND CANCEL RESERVATIONS. D. 25 APRIL 08 - MIGRATED PROFILE ACCOUNT HOLDERS WILL RECEIVE TWO E-MAILS FROM GTID(AT)CWTSATOTRAVEL.COM, ONE WITH A GETTHERE USER ID AND ONE WITH A GENERIC PASSWORD WHICH MUST BE CHANGED DURING INITIAL ACCESS TO GETTHERE. IF YOU HAVE A QA ACCOUNT AND DO NOT RECEIVE ANY E-MAILS, THAT MEANS YOUR ACCOUNT WAS NOT MIGRATED AND YOU WILL NEED TO ESTABLISH A GET THERE ACCOUNT USING THE SELF REGISTRATION PROCESS. E. 25 APRIL 08 - ALL QA RESERVATIONS WHERE THE TRAVELER HAS SELECTED PURCHASE AND THE INITIAL DEPARTURE DATE OF THE RESERVATION IS 04 MAY OR EARLIER WILL BE PURCHASED (TICKETED). F. 25 APRIL 08 - ALL QA RESERVATIONS WHERE THE TRAVELER HAS SELECTED RESERVE AND THE INITIAL DEPARTURE DATE OF THE RESERVATION IS AFTER 04 MAY WILL BE CONVERTED TO A FULL SERVICE RESERVATION. SATO WILL NOTIFY THE TRAVELER BY E-MAIL OF THIS ACTION. THE E-MAIL WILL INCLUDE THE BASIC RESERVATION INFORMATION AND THE TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR THE SATO FULL SERVICE RESERVATION CENTER.
