Abstract: Objectives: To increase knowledge about Title VI-Civil Rights Act of 1964 regarding cultural & linguistic minimum competence required, to raise awareness among health care providers about discrimination based on race, color, national origin, and maternal language spoken, facilitate the process that ensures all patients, equal access to all programs, activities, and services regardless of color, place of birth, or their limited English proficiency, and to eliminate long-standing health disparities, based on race ethnicity, place of birth, and/or limited English proficiency.

HIV, Families & Permanency Planning: Addressing New Realities

Abstract:  The National Abandoned Infants Assistance Resource Center's mission is to enhance the quality of social and health services delivered to children who are abandoned or at-risk of abandonment due to the presence of drugs and/or HIV in the family. The Resource Center provides training, information, support, and resources to service providers who assist these children and their families. This free online seminar will feature a panel of experts -- attorneys, social workers, and PWHAs -- who have current information, experiences and insights to share about future care and custody planning for children whose parents have HIV/AIDS.
