The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine CERTs focuses on therapies for infection and the reduction of antibiotic drug resistance. Key projects include research on the inappropriate use of antibiotics; prescribing patterns for newer antibiotics; and evaluating the efficacy of prescription drug reviews and computerized physician order entry (CPOE) systems.
