Laboratory Directed Research and Development

The Office of Internal Review is responsible for coordination and production of the Department's Laboratory Directed Research and Development report. This report is requested annually and delivered to the Energy and Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee. This report also includes information on the Department's Plant Directed Research, Development and Demonstration Program and Site Directed Research Development and Demonstration Program. The report also delineates procedures implemented to provide assurance that all LDRD activities derived from funds of other Federal agencies have been conducted in a manner that supports science and technology development, that benefit the programs of the sponsoring agencies, and that are consistent with the appropriation acts that provided funds to those agencies.
