ABQ Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) Application

City of Albuquerque Aviation Department
Passenger Facility Charge Application #3
November 2005

The City of Albuquerque Aviation Department has participated in the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program since 1996. This program uses revenues derived from a per passenger charge to fund capital improvements at Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ). Past PFC-funded projects have included runway extensions and terminal roadway improvements.

The City of Albuquerque Aviation Department now proposes the continued use of PFC revenues to fund additional eligible capital projects. FAA regulations require consultation with the airlines serving ABQ and an opportunity for review and comments by the public. The City of Albuquerque Aviation Department is soliciting public review and comments based on the summary of the proposed continuation of the Passenger Facility Charge program.
