The City of Albuquerque, Aviation Department announces that it will prepare an Environmental Accessment (EA) to examine the potential impacts of the closure of Runway 17-35 and it's associated parallel taxiways at the Albuquerque International Sunport.
Public Involvement and input is an important portion of the Environmental Accessment process. Having initiated the EA, the Aviation Department is now conducting scoping. Scoping is the process where the Aviation Department works with the public, Tribal governments, Federal, State and local agencies to identify areas of concern and potential impacts related to the proposed projects. The public scoping meeting will be held on November 1st 2007 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in the Old Terminal Building (see map for location by clicking here).
The Aviation Department wants to hear from you. Your ideas, comments, concerns and questions are an important component of the EA process. In addition to accepting comments, questions and comments can also be addressed to:
