Benjamin Getto

Deputy Chief of Staff

Photo: Benjamin S. GettoBen Getto has served at the Department of Energy since March 2005.  As Energy Deputy Chief of Staff, Ben Getto assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the Department and coordinating the development and implementation of the Department’s policy priorities.  He also serves as a senior advisor to Secretary Samuel W. Bodman, handling a variety of key management, operational, and policy matters.

Prior to joining the Department, Ben Getto served as the Advisor to the Executive Director of the President’s Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform.  Getto also served at the U.S. Department of the Treasury as Deputy Executive Secretary and Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary under two Treasury Secretaries.

Getto holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the George Washington University where he earned a double major in Finance and Marketing.
