The Bureau of Engraving and Printing Implements the Central Contractor Registration System May 1, 2002
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is fully adopting the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system of the Department of Defense for vendor registration (replacing the SF-129) and Electronic Funds Transfer payments (replacing the SF-3881) effective May 1, 2002. Much of the federal government will be using CCR by October 2002. Vendors will not receive new procurement awards from BEP as of May 1, 2002, unless they are registered with CCR.
Vendors that have procurement awards with BEP dated before May 1, 2002, must register in the CCR database (a) as a condition of any non-termination modification action dated after
April 30, 2002, or (b) by September 30, 2003, whichever shall occur first, in order to continue business with BEP.
We strongly recommend early, free registration by vendors with the highly secure CCR system . The CCR permits a vendor to register once with identifying information including electronic funds transfer data. Only authorized government procurement and finance officials may then access your proprietary and sensitive data directly to make awards and payments to you. You will not need to provide your data during subsequent procurement award processes of participating agencies.
