Selection Process
To apply for a position, you must complete and submit an on-line application through the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) application system, USAJobs. Please click here, and choose "Iraq Jobs" to view the listing of open positions.
The submission of anything other than the USAJobs online application will result in you not being considered for this job.
There are several parts of the application process that will affect your overall evaluation:
- Your on-line resume submitted through USAJobs
- Your responses to the core application questions.
- Your responses to the vacancy specific self-assessment questions.
Once your completed application is submitted, you should receive an e-mail letting you know your application was received. You will not receive another e-mail as long as your application is still being considered. However, you can check the status of your application by accessing the USAJOBS online application system. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications once a final decision is made. This could be as long as 45 to 60-days after the closing date of the announcement.
