The League of United Latin American Citizens will hold their annual Federal Training Institute July 8-9, 2008 in Washington, DC.  The training program is targeted towards Federal employees. The title for this year’s conference is “America’s Latino Community Center Stage.”

This conference provides two days of training qualified in compliance with 5 U.S.C. Chapter 41.  The training is open to all employees and will provide training and workshops on a wide range of topics ranging from career planning and development to resume and Executive Core Qualifications (ECQ) writing.

Federal employees and managers are encouraged to review additional conference and training information when deciding to participate, such as course descriptions, costs, and schedules, at the following website www.lulac.org/events/fti08.html.

Agencies are reminded that a change to 5 C.F.R. 410 on the reporting of training has become effective as of December 31, 2006. A copy of this final regulation may be found at www.opm.gov/fedregis/2006/71-051006-28547-a.pdf to help you comply.
