Compliance Assistance Program

The Albuquerque / Bernalillo County Air Quality Division has established the Compliance Assistance Program to educate and provide assistance to facilities that emit regulated air contaminants in order to help them better understand and maintain compliance with federal air regulations and the facility’s air quality permits when applicable.

Today’s air quality regulations are extensive and complex. Penalties for non-compliance can be expensive. The Air Quality Compliance Assistance Program (CAP) can help.

If you need assistance or if you simply have questions about federal and/or local air quality regulations, please contact the Air Quality Compliance Assistance Program at (505) 768-1972. There are no fees for this assistance.

Compliance Consultation Visit (CCV)

A CCV is an on-site review of your business’ compliance status. This is not an official inspection; rather an opportunity for you to learn what you need to do in order to comply with applicable federal/local air quality regulations and your permit.

Our goal is to help business and industry maintain regulatory compliance through technical assistance, education and guidance, without the utilization of violations or monetary penalties.
