Regulation 12, Rule 11
Flare Monitoring Data Submittals
The refinery flare monitoring data presented on this webpage are based
on reports submitted by each refinery to the District on a monthly basis.
These monthly reports are submitted 30 days after the end of the month
and include monitoring data for each flare subject to the Reg. 12-11 flare
monitoring requirements.
How to read the graphs
One graph is generated from the monitoring data for each flare for each
pollutant reported (Methane, Non-methane Hydrocarbon, and Sulfur Dioxide).
Pollutant emissions are an estimate based on calculations from direct
vent gas flow measurement and do not represent a direct measurement of
actual emissions. Each graph plots reported vent gas flow volume to the
flare on the left "Y" axis (Standard Cubic Feet) for each day of the month
and the estimated pollutant emissions on the right "Y" axis (lbs/day).
NOTE: The reader is strongly encouraged to pay attention to the graph
scales as they vary from each individual graph.
Preliminary Program
This information is being provided to the public as part of the District's
ongoing commitment to make regulatory programs more informative to the
general public. Additional information will be made available as the District
continues to improve this program.
