Town Hall/Public Meetings
As an ongoing component of our
Environmental Justice program, AQMD holds Town Hall meetings at various

Air
Toxic "Hot Spots" Information
Under State law, you have the right to know about the possible health risks
from toxic air pollutants emitted by facilities in your neighborhood. Even
though certain facilities may be complying with all current air pollution
control regulations, some toxic chemicals escape during normal operations.
State law requires these facilities to mail a public notice to local
residents of the possible health risks from those contaminants they emit.

Title V Permits
Federal Law ensures your right to know about and comment on the proposed
permit actions regarding major facilities. AQMD is responsible for
administering this program. When AQMD is planning to issue the
Title V permit to a facility, AQMD
will publish a notice in a daily or community newspaper and mail a
notice to
interested parties. You may request to be added to the mailing list by
e-mailing your name, address, and telephone number to
Subscription Services.
