STS-83 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
NOTE: Removal of the left hand pod will not be required and work is underway to complete the orbital maneuvering system functional checks. Securing of the APU No. 3 continues in work today. Stacking of the solid rocket boosters has been delayed several days due to problems with a fine control mechanism (hydraset) for the crane. Work is being rescheduled to least impact external tank/solid rocket booster mating operations. Workers hope to resume booster stacking operations on Monday.
