08.06.2009 Notice to all GANB CM/ECF participants regarding upcoming training classes - This hands-on training class is not to teach you the new law or how to use your software. It is training on how to transmit your documents via the internet using the Court’s electronic case filing system. Each “Hands-On CM/ECF Training” class will be held in the U.S. Courts Training Center (room 12105, 12th floor, Richard B. Russell Building and U. S. Courthouse). These classes are approximately 2 hours in length. One notice is for Debtor's Attorneys, and the other is for Creditor's Attorneys. See specific Notice(s) for more details. |

The Georgia Legal Services Program - The State Bar of Georgia Pro Bono Project - - - Volunteer to handle at least two bankruptcy cases over the next several months. From the State Bar of Georgia Veterans and Military Law Pro Bono Committee - The State Bar of Georgia is working to develop a referral panel of lawyers across the state who will help veterans with disability claims or enlisted Armed Forces and Guard members with general civil legal needs on a pro bono or paid basis. 04.23.2008 Notice to all GANB CM/ECF participants - - - The Clerk's Office was asked to implement a mechanism that would alert electronic filers attempting to file a new petition that a case was filed within the previous 7 days that matches the SSN of the case being uploaded. We have been successful, and you will now see an alert that tells you a case already exists. You will have the option to continue if you wish. We are hopeful this new tool will be beneficial to you. Please let us know if you experience any problems. |
10.01.2007 On Thursday, September 27, 2007, the Administrative Office of the United States Courts announced that the Electronic Public Access Fee Schedule has been amended to include court-appointed pro bono attorneys among that category of persons that a court may exempt from PACER fees upon the proper showing.
