David M. Marquis

David M. Marquis is the Director of the Office of Examination and Insurance (E&I). As E&I Director, Marquis is responsible for the safe and sound operation of the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. He also monitors the examination and supervision procedures at federal and federally insured credit unions. This includes management of the examination program conducted by NCUA examiners, collection and evaluation of financial data submitted by credit unions quarterly and maintenance of the CAMEL Rating System and the Financial Performance Report.

Marquis began his career with NCUA as an examiner in Baltimore, Md. in 1978. He has also served as a supervisory examiner, regional management staff, associate regional director, deputy director of the Office of Examination and Insurance and regional director.

Marquis holds a degree in accounting from Lowell University in Lowell, Massachusetts.
