International Code Council (ICC)
The International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. Most U.S. cities, counties and states that adopt codes choose the International Codes developed by the International Code Council.

ASTM International
ASTM International is one of the largest voluntary standards development organizations in the world-a trusted source for technical standards for materials, products, systems, and services. Known for their high technical quality and market relevancy, ASTM International standards have an important role in the information infrastructure that guides design, manufacturing and trade in the global economy.

Fire Research Links

National Fire Protection Association
Established in 1896, NFPA serves as the world's leading advocate of fire prevention and is an authoritative source on public safety. NFPA's codes and standards influence every building, process, service, design, and installation in the United States, as well as many of those used in other countries.

Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE)
The purpose of the Society is to advance the science and practice of fire protection engineering and its allied fields, to maintain a high ethical standard among its members and to foster fire protection engineering education.

FABERC
The Fire and Building Educational Resource Collection: Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and BFRL have formed a partnership to create this digital library, which consists of an online collection of resources that are pertinent to the fire science community and related building fields, and are accessible through a central portal.

International FORUM of Fire Research Directors
The FORUM is a group of the Directors of fire research organizations throughout the world. It has been active since 1991. Its aim is to reduce the burden of fire (including the loss of life and property, and effects of fire on the environment and heritage) through international cooperation on fire research.

North American Fire Testing Laboratories (NAFTL)
The purpose of the NAFTL Consortium is to provide a forum for the exchange of technical information, conduct studies, and develop industry consensus positions relating to the full range of fire tests, e.g., reaction to fire, fire suppression, fire resistance and fire detection.
