The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) program publishes a quarterly count of employment and wages reported by employers covering 98 percent of U.S. jobs, available at the county, MSA, state and national levels by industry.

Fort Bend County, Texas, had the biggest over-the-year percentage increase in employment (7.4 percent) in December 2007; nationally, jobs grew 0.8 percent. Pulaski County, Ark., had the largest gain in average weekly wages (26.2 percent) in the fourth quarter of 2007, compared with a national increase of 4.2 percent. More...
