Council Creates Task Force to Review City Charter

Charter Review Task Force
The Albuquerque City Council passed an Ordinance (O-08-42) to have the City Charter reviewed by a Task Force. This Task Force will review the City of Albuquerque Charter and make recommendations for proposed revisions to the Council and Mayor.
The first Task Force meeting is August 28, 2008. Agendas from each Task Force meeting are available.

The Task Force must submit a final report to the Mayor and City Council by April 6, 2009. The report will make recommendations, if needed, for City Charter ammendments.
The Task Force is made of 15 members who are all residents of the City of Albuquerque:
- One member selected by each Councilor
- Five members appointed by the Mayor
- Chair of the Task Force to be selected by the Council.
