Under Secretary Mancuso Discusses Bilateral Trade and Security Issues
in the UAE

Under Secretary Mancuso On June 22-24, Under Secretary Mancuso visited the United Arab Emirates to discuss strategic trade and security issues with senior government officials and industry representatives. The visit is part of an ongoing dialogue to enhance transhipment and export control cooperation, and strengthen the bilateral economic and security relationship.

While in the UAE, Under Secretary Mancuso met with government officials in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and reiterated U.S. resolve to prevent U.S. technologies from contributing to Iran's nuclear ambitions or otherwise undermining U.S. security interests in the region. Mancuso also met with private sector executives, including the American Business Group of Abu Dhabi, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and the American Business Council of Dubai.
