Fryzel Welcomes American Share Insurance Representatives to NCUA
August 27, 2008, Alexandria, Va. – National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Chairman Michael E. Fryzel welcomed American Share Insurance (ASI) President Dennis Adams and Executive Vice President Duane Welsh today at NCUA headquarters in Alexandria.
“ASI has been a well-established and valued partner for a number of state-chartered credit unions for many years. I welcome their opinions and input as NCUA continues to carry out its federal insurance responsibilities, and I look forward to an open and productive relationship with the nation’s largest private insurer of credit unions,” commented Chairman Fryzel.
The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the deposits of nearly 87 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.
