Punctuation, Capitalization, Typography and Spelling

1. Use the "Government Printing Office Style Manual" as a guide to punctuation, capitalization, and typography. The most frequent problem in drafting is punctuation for a list. That problem is discussed in the section "Principles of Clear Writing," convention 20.

2. Use the "Government Printing Office Style Manual" for preferred spellings and spelling conventions. Otherwise, consult a standard English dictionary.
