Trio of Grinnell Glacier photographs taken from the shore of Lake Josephine, Glacier National Park.

This trio documents the recession of Grinnell Glacier and its separation from what is now called "The Salamander", an ice apron that is the only visible portion of the glacier in the 1997 photograph. Note how the circa 1914 photograph gives the impression of substantial depth at the terminus of the glacier.
