4.1 Departmental policy and procedures on unsolicited technical proposals and ideas received from the public are prescribed in 401 DM 2.
4.2 This cross reference to 401 DM 2 is inserted in this part because such unsolicited technical proposals and ideas from the public may eventually develop into inventions and patents for which the policy and procedures prescribed in Chapters 1 and 2 of this Part do not apply.
