6.1 Delegation of Authority. The Director, Minerals Management Service, is authorized to issue Federal Register notices that pertain to the responsibilities and functions assigned to the Minerals Management Service. This authority may be further delegated. All proposed and final rules are issued by the Assistant Secretary - Land and Minerals Management.
