18.1 Purpose. To specify the minimum Safety and Occupational Health Program (Program) requirements for medical programs provided to Departmental employees engaged in activities that may affect their health. Current guidance on Occupational Medicine Programs can be found in the Department of the Interior Occupational Medicine Program Handbook.

18.3 Requirements. Each bureau will establish an occupational medicine program that provides uniform and consistent medical evaluations for employees that require Department funded medical services. Such programs should be consistent with the guidance provided in the Department of the Interior Occupational Medicine Program Handbook.
