2.1 Organization and Location of Functional Statements. The Department of the Interior is composed of the Office of the Secretary and the bureaus. Organization statements can be found on the World Wide Web at http://elips.doi.gov. An organization chart is attached.

A. The Office of the Secretary is composed of the Secretarial Officers and their staffs, and the Secretarial Offices. The organization and functions of the Secretarial Officers are described in Part 109 DM. Secretarial Offices directly responsible to the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Assistant Secretaries are described in Parts 110 through 112 of the Departmental Manual.

B. The Bureaus of the Department of the Interior are listed below. The description of the organization and functions of each bureau begin with the chapters listed:

(1) Bureau of Indian Affairs, 130 DM 1;

(2) Bureau of Land Management, 135 DM 1;

(3) Bureau of Reclamation, 155 DM 1;

(4) Minerals Management Service, 118 DM 1;

(5) National Park Service, 145 DM 1;

(6) Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, 116 DM 1;

(7) U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 142 DM 1; and

(8) U.S. Geological Survey, 120 DM 1.

C. Emergency Organizations. Organizations which come into existence only upon the declaration of a national emergency, and which have no present staff within the Department, are listed in Part 190 of the Departmental Manual.

2.2 External Publication of Organization Statements.

A. Annually updated statements of the organization of the Department of the Interior are published in the United States Government Manual, which is available from the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office.

B. Organization statements for the Department of the Interior and its various units are updated and published in the Federal Register whenever changes occur which directly and substantially affect the public. These statements are published in accordance with the provisions of Title 5, Section 552 of the United States Code.
