1.1 Delegation of Authority. Assistant Secretaries are authorized to exercise the authority vested in the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to the act of May 27, 1955, (69 Stat. 66; 42 U.S.C. 1856), with respect to reciprocal agreements with fire organizations for the rendering of emergency assistance in extinguishing fires and preserving life and property from fire, subject to directives prescribed by the Secretary in 910 DM 2 and 43 CFR 28.
1.2 Amendment Authority. This chapter does not limit the authority delegated to the Assistant Secretary - Policy, Management and Budget by 209 DM 4. The Assistant Secretary - Policy, Management and Budget is authorized to amend, limit, suspend or revoke any authority granted by or pursuant to this chapter. This authority may not be redelegated.
