2009 Clean Air Plan

The Air District is beginning the process to prepare the 2009 Bay Area Clean Air Plan.

The 2009 Bay Area Clean Air Plan will:

• Update the Bay Area 2005 Ozone Strategy in accordance with the requirements of the California Clean Air Act to implement “all feasible measures” to reduce ozone
  
• Consider the impacts of ozone control measures on particulate matter (PM), air toxics, and greenhouse gases in a single, integrated plan
  
• Review progress in improving air quality in recent years
  
• Establish emission control measures to be adopted or implemented in the 2009 -2012 timeframe
  

The District will be hosting an introductory workshop on the 2009 Bay Area Clean Air Plan at the MetroCenter Auditorium on July 15, 2008 from 9:00 to 11:00.  Download workshop notice.
