    Arthritis and Arthritic Pain

    If you are 18 or older and have acute gouty arthritis, you may qualify for this study.

    Cancer Pain

    If you 18 or older, are treating persistent cancer-related pain with opioid medication, and are having one-to-four episodes of breakthrough pain per day, you may qualify for this study.

    The research site is in Sarasota, Fla.

    Spinal Cord Disorders

    This study will last approximately 3 to 5 years, depending on your child's age and skeletal maturity. If your child is aged 10 to 15, has been diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) with curves of 25 degrees to 40 degrees, and has not worn a brace or had surgery for AIS, the child may qualify for this study.

    The research site is in Cincinnati, Ohio.
