    Obesity

    This study will evaluate an investigational medication to combat obesity in people with type 2 diabetes. Participants must be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, be between 18 and 70 years old, and have a body mass index of between 27 and 50. Candidates may not be insulin dependent.

    Breast Cancer

    This study will compare a combination of drugs in women with advanced breast cancer. Patients in the first treatment group will receive the combination of Gemzar with both Taxol and Avastin. The other group will receive a combination of only Taxol and Avastin. Participants will continue to receive treatment as long as the study drugs are working to control cancer, as determined by the study doctor. Participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any point.

    The research site is in Knoxville, Tenn.

    Acne

    If you have facial acne, you may be eligible to participate in this clinical study of an investigational topical lotion medication. To qualify, you must be at least 12 years old, have facial acne, and have 20 to 50 red bumps. Participants will receive all study related procedures, physical exams and investigational lotion at no cost. Compensation is available for time and travel.

    The research site is in San Antonio, Texas.
