Hurricane Public Service Announcements

PSA sampleThe federal bank, thrift and credit union regulators are sponsoring public service announcements (PSAs) to encourage individuals adversely affected by the hurricanes of 2005 to contact their lenders

Contacting your lender is the first step on the road to financial recovery. Lenders, like banks, thrifts and credit unions, are best positioned to assist people affected by the storms. Assistance may include providing helpful information, restructuring repayment terms and schedules, or deferring principal or interests for an additional period where appropriate. Anyone affected by the hurricane with any sort of debt or loan should contact their lender. Failure to contact the lender will reduce that financial institution's ability to provide support and relief for financial obligations, which can result in more debt and adversely affect individuals' credit.

If you need help contacting your lender, call 877-275-3342.

The PSAs below are offered for your use in helping to encourage affected customers to contact their lenders. Right click and choose "save target as" to download the item from the list below.
