The Pew Internet and American Life Project released a report analyzing the gaps in home broadband adoption.

2. Industry group supports Senate health IT bills that would encourage more broadband in rural areas.

The US Internet Industry Association, which represents companies that offer Internet services and connectivity, developed a white paper which endorses two health IT bills pending in the US Senate.
 

3. Pew Internet says China’s population of Internet users may exceed that of the US in a few years.

The Pew Internet and American Life Project report says that China’s Internet user population is second only to the US and that it may be larger than the population of US users within a few years.

4. Online Advertising may overtake Newspaper Advertising by 2011

Annual research report on the media sector by Veronis Suhler Stevenson suggests that, though Television (broadcast, cable and satellite) will hold the lions share of advertising dollars, online advertising will overtake US newspaper advertising in terms of size by 2011.
