Our mission:

TRADOC PAO's Command Information Branch is dedicated to "telling Soldiers first." Our work is largely in these three major areas: TRADOC's Webpage content, TRADOC News Service and CI policy, which includes our input on strategic communications campaign plans and guidance to requesting PAOs.

Branch responsibilities

    In general, we:

  • Research, analyze and evaluate Army internal information processes and external information communication technology, trends and techniques for application to CI programs within TRADOC and throughout the Army (AR 360-1)
  • Assist in coordinating support of MACOM-specific CI events/initiatives with regional/installation PA offices, as required.
  • Website content:

  • Provide content oversight for TRADOC webpages for currency, accuracy and compliance with CG vision, objectives and priorities.
  • Plan, design, construct, publish and maintain the PA webpages and topical TRADOC webpages. Test and evaluate multimedia programs for website development and execution. In coordination with CIO and SJA, provide command policy for web publishing (AR 360-1, AR 25-70)
  • TNS:

  • Produce and publish TRADOC News Service, the command's official news source for articles covering TRADOC mission-specific programs and activities and supporting DoD/DA initiatives and themes. Write news releases, select graphics/photographs and disseminate to multiple internal audiences (AR 360-1)
  • CI policy and guidance:

  • Develop and implement PA internal information strategies to support TRADOC's mission, programs and initiatives as well as PA Strategic Communication Campaign Plans. Design and produce print and electronic products for Army and command internal use and distribution. Use traditional and digital technology to facilitate internal communication and coordination among players and enhance product development and distribution (AR 360-1).
  • Provide advice and support to HQ leadership and staff on CI matters. Provide policy and regulatory guidance, technical advice and assistance to TRADOC schools and activities, ensuring compliance with DoD/DA policies and guidelines (AR 360-1).
