The Office of Independent Oversight, within the Office of Health, Safety and Security is the independent oversight organization for the Secretary of Energy and for the Administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration. As a corporate resource, we conduct evaluations to verify that the Department can effectively respond to emergencies and that site workers, the public, and the environment are protected from hazardous operations and materials.
