Dear eGrants Grantee Administrator:
As you may know, we are launching a new system to support recruiting and application processes, targeted to be available at the end of this week. This includes posting listings and selecting applicants, among other things, for our grantees and project sponsors. In order to have a single interface for grants and program management, this functionality will be accessed through the *eGrants* system. To that end, there are new roles in eGrants that will become available once the new functionality is live. These new roles are detailed in your User Guide, which walks you through each step in the process of making sure people are set up properly to begin using the system from day one.
As the Grantee Administrator, once the new system is available, you will need to assign the new role or roles to the appropriate people on your staff who plan to use the new system for recruitment and, for VISTA Sponsors, approving project-related transportation forms (V-81s). It may be the case that these individuals do not use eGrants at this time. For this reason, we've included instructions for getting these individuals set up in eGrants in the User Guide. Identifying these individuals and helping them to get set up in eGrants can be done in advance of the launch and we'd recommend it. That way you will only have to assign the new roles, which you will automatically have the ability to do, once the new system is launched. We'll be sending out a communication when it is available, so please stay tuned.
Individuals within your organization who currently use the AmeriCorps Recruitment and Placement System have received notification of the upcoming launch of our new system and may have already reached out to you regarding eGrants access. By now, they should also be aware of the availability of online training materials at the My AmeriCorps Training and User Support page within our Resource Center website. If they are not aware of it, please forward this message to them. There they'll find customized training materials to assist them in using the new components of eGrants.
