Chemical Safety

The Office of Health, Safety and Security provides chemical safety information and guidance on the identification and evaluation of chemical-related hazards; the control of chemical hazards; chemical management program development and implementation through the Chemical Safety Management Program.

The site also includes a variety of informational chemical management documents, including those developed by project teams formed during the Chemical Safety Topical Committee’s (CSTC) annual Joint Energy Federal Contractors Group (EFCOG)/DOE workshops.

The Office of Health, Safety and Security verifies the Department's safeguards and security interests are protected, that the Department can effectively respond to emergencies, and that site workers, the public, and the environment are protected from hazardous operations and materials.
